Saw a news where Manohar Parrikar was shown accepting a peda from a person who had come to see him.We already knew he had diabetes of that time.
His security should have prevented people to make such gifts. If not possible Manohar should have thrown the peda discretely in the garbage bag.
My father died of complications from diabetes, I am careful. Sometimes my readings go up, I control myself. By eating low carb vegetables I have been able to keep readings consistently below 100. If somebody offers me a sweet it goes in the garbage bin.
Indians should learn that forcing food in others is not a sign of your love for them.
